Who loves Sushi?
I know many of you are crazy about sushi! I see a line made in front of sushi shop in my college and they eat them with using chopstick well. I was impressed coz I thought only people who can use chopstick are Japanese, Korean and Chinese! But, at the same time, I found something wrong with American Sushi...
1. American (and non-Japanese) people eat the worst part of Tuna.
As you see the above picture, there are three sushi on a dish. These are from the same fish... yes, tuna! Why color is different-because they are from the different part.
In the US, Akami which is the leanest part is eaten most of the time. This is the cheapest and people don't prefer it in Japan.
Chu-toro is where middle fat and oil. It is my favorite! When you put it into your mouth, it'll just melt.. you don't have to chew!
In the first picture, akami is below and chu-toro is the top.
2. DIP Sushi into soy source...
Hey, are you eating soy source? Most of people who eat at my college put it tooooo much.. Do NOT DIP!! Put it 0.01 sec! Don't worry, rice can absorb with this little time. If you are expert of chopstick, put soy source on fish with flipping over. Be careful fish not to come off! Or you can put source on sushi if you realized that you are not as good as that.
3. Sushi is an eraser's big?!
In the U.S, it's sooo small! I think it's so unbalanced.. don't you think? Japanese sushi is a pen's big!
Well, it depends where you eat sushi tho.. If you go to Tokyo and eat sushi, it won't be so big.. This is actually I'm from Sapporo, Hokkaido which is as known as the best food providence!
4. A roll is not sushi, but sushi is rolling.
As you see, sushi is rolling around tables on the belt conveyor. You can pick it from there.
Anyway, as you know, sushi is so good.. even you don't like them, you'll like it if you try REAL one.. Tastes different, looks different and funner than a local Japanese restaurant. The most important thing is to have fun...! Come to Japan and try it ;)
